About Lincoln Greens Golf Course

Lincoln Greens is the Springfield Park District's postwar flagship: an 18-hole, 240-acre public course bordering Lake Springfield that opened on June 1, 1957, according to Sangamon County History. It was designed by Robert B. Harris, a founding-era member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects. Playing to par 72 and about 6,800 yards from the back tees, it is one of the district's two 18-hole courses alongside Bunn.
