About Myrtle Beach National - King'S North

The course opened in 1973 as the North Course at Myrtle Beach National, an Arnold Palmer collaboration with Francis Duane. Palmer's group reimagined it in the mid-1990s, reopening as King's North in 1996 with bold, risk-reward holes -- most famously the par-5 6th, 'The Gambler,' and the island-green par-3 12th ringed by bunkers shaped like the outline of South Carolina. A comprehensive renovation modernized it in 2025.
