Pearland Golf Club at Country Place opened in 1982, designed by Jay Riviere as the centerpiece of a senior-oriented residential development. Mike Hoelzer redesigned the basic prairie layout in the late 1990s, and a two-phase multimillion-dollar renovation under Jeffrey Blume followed in 2014-2015. The 18-hole course is semi-private and open to the public.
