About Pine Forest Country Club

Pine Forest Country Club was founded in 1945 at a site on North Shepherd, with an original 18-hole course attributed to John Bredemus that hosted the 1949 Houston Open. The private club relocated west to Clay Road in the mid-1970s, where architect Jay Riviere built the current courses as three nine-hole tracks (Green, Gold and White nines), the first opening in May 1975, with a chain of lakes bringing water into play on most holes.
