About Stonetree Golf Club

Stonetree Golf Club opened in 1970 as a City of Killeen municipal course, built to offer a non-military alternative to the Fort Hood (now Fort Cavazos) courses. Jay Riviere designed the original parkland layout on rolling Central Texas terrain with mature trees and several small lakes. The irrigation system was upgraded in the 1990s, and Lee Singletary led a complete renovation in 2005. The par-72 course plays 7,153 yards from the Gold tees and includes a double-ended range and short-game area.
