The Ranch Course debuted in 1997 as the second 18-hole Tom Fazio design at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Citrus County, following the Quarry (1987). Fazio has described holes 16-18 on the Ranch as among the best finishing holes he has designed. The course sits within the Black Diamond Ranch community on the former quarry and sand-dune land assembled by Stan Olsen.
