About Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club
The Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club opened in 2006 as the private golf centerpiece of The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota's members community. Tom Fazio designed the layout on a formerly flat inland parcel spanning more than 300 acres, reportedly moving close to two million cubic yards of earth to sculpt the mounding, elevation changes, and generous corridors that give the course its shape. Water is a defining feature, with sixteen lakes and the Braden River weaving through the routing and demanding careful positioning down the closing stretch. From the back markers it reaches beyond 7,400 yards while offering multiple forward tees for a wide range of players. The club has earned recognition for its environmental stewardship, holding designation as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary through Audubon International.
