Sea Pines Resort - Heron Point

Heron Point by Pete Dye opened in 2007 following a multimillion-dollar reconstruction of The Sea Pines Resort's original Sea Marsh Course, a 1967 George Cobb design. Pete Dye and his team dramatically reshaped the fairways, adding the mounds, hillocks, shifting elevations, and sharp angles that define his style, then Dye returned in 2011 to fine-tune the layout. The par-72 course plays roughly 7,035 yards from the back tees. Set within Sea Pines on the south end of Hilton Head Island, Heron Point rounds out the resort's golf offering alongside Harbour Town Golf Links and Atlantic Dunes. Wooded corridors, lagoons, and a Lowcountry marsh setting create a constantly shifting challenge that keeps players off balance, and the greens and bunkering carry the unmistakable Dye fingerprint that draws golfers seeking a sterner, more strategic test.
