SentryWorld opened in 1982, commissioned by Sentry Insurance and designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. Its par-3 16th, the Flower Hole, surrounds the green with beds of annual flowers in place of water. Jones's firm renovated the course beginning in 2013, and SentryWorld hosted the 2019 U.S. Girls' Junior and the 2023 U.S. Senior Open.
