About Shipyard Golf Club

Shipyard Golf Club's original Clipper and Galleon nines were designed by George W. Cobb and built in 1970, making it one of the oldest courses on Hilton Head Island. The third nine, the Brigantine, was designed by Willard C. Byrd and opened in 1982. The club hosted the Hilton Head Senior International tournament from 1982 to 1984, and the Clipper's greens were converted to Diamond Zoysia in 2008-09, among the first in the Southeast.
