Streamsong Resort - Black Course

Streamsong Black is the third eighteen at a central Florida resort built on reclaimed phosphate-mining land owned by The Mosaic Company. The region, nicknamed Bone Valley for the ancient fossils found in its deposits, left behind vast sand tailings and rolling dunes that proved ideal for firm, ground-game golf. Gil Hanse and design partner Jim Wagner, fresh off building the Rio de Janeiro Olympic course, routed the Black across the most open and expansive terrain on the property. It opened on September 28, 2017, joining Tom Doak's Blue and the Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw Red, making Streamsong the only resort with courses by that trio of celebrated architects. The Black is known for its enormous, boldly contoured greens and generous fairways that reward creativity, and Golf Magazine named it Best New Course of 2017.
