About Swansea Country Club

Swansea Country Club is an 18-hole public course in Swansea, Massachusetts, playing to par 72. The land was long a private hunting-and-fishing preserve of Fall River textile merchant Isaac Merriman, who dammed the Palmer River to create a 50-acre pond; Nelson Doyle later bought the property and, with architect Geoffrey Cornish, built the course, which opened in 1963. The club has since added a par-3 course, bocce courts and a pool complex.
