The Club at Las Campanas

Set in the high desert foothills roughly a half hour from downtown Santa Fe, The Club at Las Campanas is a private community built by the Lyle Anderson Company, the developer behind Arizona's Desert Highlands and Desert Mountain. It centers on two Jack Nicklaus Signature layouts served by a grand hacienda-style clubhouse alongside equestrian, tennis, and spa amenities. The Sunrise Course opened in 1993 and is notable as Nicklaus's 100th career design, shaped with associate Steve Wolfard. The Sunset Course followed in 2000, credited to Nicklaus and Chet Williams. Both stretch past 7,500 yards from the tips, though an elevation near 7,000 feet lets the ball carry farther, softening the length. Multiple tee sets on every hole open the sweeping mountain-and-pinon terrain to a wide range of players.
