The West Course at John's Island Club

The West Course is one of three private 18-hole courses at John's Island Club, a roughly 3,000-acre gated community in Indian River Shores (Vero Beach), Florida; the other two are a Pete Dye course and a Jack Nicklaus course. Designed by Tom Fazio, the West Course sits on about 300 acres with its own clubhouse and no residences, making use of a natural sand ridge with elevation changes rare for Florida. Sources date it as a late-1980s Fazio design (the decision to hire Fazio was made in 1987), though some references cite an opening in the early 1990s.
