Tierra Del Sol Golf Course

Tierra Del Sol is a City of Pharr municipal course at 700 E. Hall Acres Road, built in 1982 to a design credited to Dave Bennett. The 18-hole, par-72 layout plays roughly 6,770 to 6,830 yards, with wind and water as the main hazards; the signature 5th is a 400-plus-yard par 4 with water right and out-of-bounds left. In summer 1999 the course upgraded its irrigation, regrassed fairways and greens and added 25 bunkers, and recent new management has worked to restore conditions.
