Wampatuck Country Club was founded in 1904 as a sportsmen's hunting and fishing club along Reservoir Pond in Canton, with golf first played in 1918. In the mid-1950s the club engaged Geoffrey Cornish to completely redesign its nine holes; the present par-36 layout reopened to the membership in 1960. It operates as a private member club.
