The Highlands is the links-style course at Wildcat Golf Club, a 36-hole daily-fee facility on Almeda Road in Houston built on a reclaimed former oil field and landfill, giving it dramatic man-made elevation changes unusual for the flat Houston area. Designed by architect Roy Case, the Highlands opened in 2001, a year before its sister Lakes course.
