Aguila Golf Course

Aguila is a City of Phoenix municipal course in the Laveen area of southwest Phoenix, near the base of South Mountain, designed by Gary Panks and opened in 1999. The roughly $6.5 million, 210-acre facility was built on the former Alvord family farm and includes an 18-hole championship course plus a 9-hole par-3 course, with three lakes in play. Its name is Spanish for "eagle," and it is regarded as one of the better public golf values in the Phoenix area.
