About Ashton Hills Golf Club

Ashton Hills is a Desmond Muirhead design that opened in Covington in 1997 as Covington Plantation Golf Club and later became Indian Creek Golf Club. Muirhead was known for artistic, sculptural holes; local lore says he first sketched the par-3 3rd on a napkin in an English pub. Indian Creek closed in November 2011, and a group of local owners, including former owner and golf pro Bryan Raines, put more than $2 million into rebuilding the greens and bunkers before reopening it as Ashton Hills in 2012, keeping Muirhead's routing.
