About Cardinal By Pete Dye
The Cardinal was designed by Pete Dye and opened in 1974, originally as Cardinal Golf & Country Club and later known as the Sedgefield Country Club Dye Course. McConnell Golf acquired it in 2006 and brought Dye back around 2007 for a full restoration, featuring his signature railroad ties (notably the par-3 12th, which Dye called the hardest par three he ever designed). In 2019 it became semi-private and restored its original name, The Cardinal by Pete Dye.
