We love Cornerstone for its second act: a big, bold Norman mountain course that the members themselves refused to let die, then brought back better. Set between Montrose and Telluride at real altitude, it is Colorado golf with a survival story you can root for.

About Cornerstone Club
Cornerstone Club is a Greg Norman mountain course that opened in 2007 in southwestern Colorado, tucked between Montrose and Telluride. Stretching to nearly 8,000 yards at altitude, it plays across dramatic high-country terrain with big elevation change and long mountain views. The club's early years were turbulent: it closed in 2012 after the original developer exited, then was revived by a group of Cornerstone property owners led by longtime president Bob Aisner. Matt Dusenberry, a former senior designer with Greg Norman Golf Course Design, was commissioned to renovate the layout, with work completing in the late 2010s and a formal reopening following. Today Cornerstone is regarded as one of Colorado's premier private mountain clubs, valued for its scale, seclusion, and the restored Norman design at the heart of a large residential community.
