About Crane Creek Reserve Golf Course (Melbourne)

The City of Melbourne opened a 6-hole course in 1920, expanded to nine in 1921, then commissioned Donald Ross to design a full 18 that opened in December 1928 as Melbourne Municipal Golf Course. President Warren G. Harding reportedly played the earlier course in 1923. It is part of the Florida Historic Golf Trail and remains city-run.
