About The Boca Raton - Harborside Course

The Harborside (Resort) course at The Boca Raton traces to 1926, when Donald Ross laid out an 18-hole course for the Cloister Inn during Addison Mizner's resort development. After the 1927 bankruptcy, Clarence Geist hired Toomey & Flynn, whose courses opened in January 1930. Later work spans Robert Trent Jones (1950s), Joe Lee (1988) and Gene Bates (1997); a Brian Silva reimagination is under way with reopening planned for late 2026. Private, for members and hotel guests.
