Cutalong, on the highlands above Lake Anna, is Tom Clark's long-held dream course, worked and reworked with Golf Digest architecture editor Ron Whitten from 2000 and built around holes inspired by famous British and American originals. The project survived multiple owners, a foreclosure and a bankruptcy, with only three holes built in 2012, before Private Capital Group restarted it in 2018; the course opened in 2021, and the Tributer Resort clubhouse followed in 2025.
