Daufuskie Island Club

The Melrose course at Daufuskie Island Club & Resort opened in 1987 as a Jack Nicklaus Signature design on Daufuskie Island, a sea island near Hilton Head reachable only by boat. The par-72 layout stretches past 7,000 yards and runs toward the Atlantic shoreline. The resort entered bankruptcy in 2008 and the course later closed, and it has been slated for reopening in the mid-2020s. The island's other 18 holes, Bloody Point, is a separately branded course.
