About Finley Golf Course

Finley Golf Course, home of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels, was originally built in 1949 by Raleigh businessman A. E. Finley to a design by George Cobb. In 1999 architect Tom Fazio completely rebuilt the layout as a par-72 course. In 2023 Carolina native Davis Love III renovated it again, converting it to a par 70 for the UNC men's and women's golf programs. It is a university-owned facility open to public play.
