Gatlinburg Golf Course

The Gatlinburg Golf Course, despite its name, sits in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, just a few miles from downtown Gatlinburg and adjacent to Dollywood. The course opened in 1955 to a design by architect William Langford, and later received major renovations by Bob Cupp & Associates of Atlanta in 1993 and again in 2007. Threading through the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, it is widely praised as one of the more scenic public courses in the country. Its most famous feature is the par-3 twelfth, nicknamed "Sky Hi," which plays roughly 194 yards while dropping about 200 feet from tee to green. The dramatic downhill shot has been featured in national golf media and has become a bucket-list moment for visitors touring the Smokies, drawing players from far beyond Tennessee.
