The Golf Club at Indigo Run opened in 1995 as the first signature course co-designed by Jack Nicklaus and his son Jack Nicklaus II, styled after Golden Age layouts like Pine Valley and Shinnecock Hills. Golf Digest named it a top-ten new private course in 1996. The private par-72, 7,110-yard course is the last built on Hilton Head Island; its Scottish-inspired clubhouse opened in 1999.
