Est. 1970 · Robert Trent Jones Sr. (Chanticleer course)
About Greenville Country Club
Greenville Country Club traces to 1895, when it was founded as the Sans Souci Country Club, making it one of the oldest clubs in the state. It is today a private 36-hole facility with two 18-hole courses, Chanticleer and Riverside. Its flagship Chanticleer course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and opened in 1970 at just over 6,700 yards -- regarded as one of his finest layouts -- and was renovated by his son Rees Jones in 2001. (The club's second course, Riverside, dates to 1923.)
