About Hawks Ridge Golf Club
Hawks Ridge Golf Club opened in 1999 in Ball Ground, Georgia, about an hour north of Atlanta, as the golf heart of an exclusive residential community. The founders handed the commission to architect Bob Cupp with an ambitious brief, and Cupp routed the course across roughly 550 acres of rolling, pine-covered terrain marked by dramatic elevation changes. The result earned quick acclaim, landing on Golf Digest's national rankings in its first year of eligibility, and Cupp himself regarded it among his finest work. Private and invitation-only, Hawks Ridge trades on seclusion and conditioning rather than tournament pedigree, offering a modern parkland test that rewards precise shotmaking through the trees. It stands as one of the more admired newer designs in the north-Georgia foothills.
