Horseshoe Bay Resort

Horseshoe Bay Resort sits in the Texas Hill Country along Lake LBJ and is home to three Robert Trent Jones Sr. courses. Slick Rock opened first in 1972 as an approachable parkland design, followed by Ram Rock in 1981, which earned the nickname "The Challenger" as one of the toughest tests in Texas. Apple Rock debuted in the mid-1980s and drew Golf Digest recognition as a top new resort course, using the property's highest elevations for sweeping lake and countryside views. In 2016 the resort invested roughly $7.5 million to modernize greens, bunkers, and irrigation across all three Jones designs. Together the courses give the resort one of the deepest collections of championship golf in central Texas.
