Legends At Chateau Elan

The Legends Course at Chateau Elan opened in 1993 at the winery and resort estate in Braselton, Georgia, northeast of Atlanta. Its design is a genuine collaboration: architect Denis Griffiths worked alongside three golf Hall of Famers, Gene Sarazen, Sam Snead, and Kathy Whitworth, each of whom helped shape the course by selecting favorite holes to inspire the routing. The result is an eclectic layout that borrows ideas from celebrated holes around the world, most famously a tribute to the par-3 twelfth at Augusta National. Set among the vineyards and woodlands of the Chateau Elan property, the Legends has hosted competitive events and anchors one of Georgia's best-known golf-and-wine destinations. The blend of legendary input and resort polish gives the course a distinctive identity within the Atlanta region.
