McDonald Golf Course is the City of Evansville's nine-hole municipal course, on East Morgan Avenue on the city's East Side. Course listings date its opening to 1971, making it the youngest of Evansville's three city-run courses alongside Helfrich Hills and Fendrich. A par-36 layout of roughly 3,000 yards, it had its fairways converted to Bermuda grass in a 2011–12 renovation and remains a quick, low-cost entry point to the game for East Side golfers.
