Golf has been played at Meadow Brook in Richmond since about 1930, originally on a nine-hole layout. After the Hendrick family bought the property in 2006, architects Roger Rulewich and David Fleury rebuilt it as a full 18-hole daily-fee course that opened around 2010, bringing water into play on seven holes; the par-3 10th over water is its best-known hole. At more than 7,400 yards from the back tees it is one of the longest public courses in Rhode Island.
