Mt. Woodson Golf Club opened in 1991 as the centerpiece of a residential development near Ramona, the first Landmark signature course to open. It was designed by Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley. The course is known for a long wooden bridge that winds through the treetops between the second and third holes. Its administration office is in the Amy Strong Castle, completed by Amy Strong around 1921 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
