About Occano

Occano is an Arnold Palmer design built in 2009 at the mouth of Salmon Creek, reaching out into the Albemarle Sound in Bertie County. It was earlier known as Scotch Hall Preserve and took the Occano name when it reopened as part of the new Occano community. In 2022 Brandon Johnson of Arnold Palmer Course Design remodeled it, reshaping the bunkers and expanding the greens. It plays to 7,262 yards, par 72.
