Palmetto Dunes - Arthur Hills Golf Course

Designed by Arthur Hills and opened in 1986, this course was among the earliest Lowcountry layouts to use natural mounding and contouring rather than rough to defend its holes, weaving through rolling terrain, lagoons and palmettos. Its most prominent landmark is the historic Leamington Lighthouse (the former Hilton Head Rear Range Light), built around 1879-1880, which stands alongside the course.
