The George Fazio Course opened in 1974 at Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort on Hilton Head Island, one of three resort courses there alongside the Robert Trent Jones Course and the Arthur Hills Course. Designed by George Fazio, it is Hilton Head Island's only par-70 resort/public course and is noted for its length and demanding par-4s. It is among the youngest courses to have appeared on Golf Digest's America's 100 Greatest ranking.
