The Ridge Country Club

Est. 1969 · Geoffrey Cornish
Why we love this place

The Ridge is a Lakes Region staple, a Geoffrey Cornish design from 1969 that still plays as an honest, rolling par 71. Whether you knew it as Pheasant Ridge or know it now as The Ridge, it's a friendly, affordable stop near Laconia.

About The Ridge Country Club

The Ridge Country Club in Gilford opened in 1969 as Pheasant Ridge Golf Club, an 18-hole course designed by Geoffrey Cornish on Country Club Road, just outside Laconia in the Lakes Region. Cornish gave it a par-71 routing that has served local golfers and summer visitors for more than half a century. For decades it was known simply as Pheasant Ridge, and the club still uses that name in its web address and on social media, but it now presents itself as The Ridge Country Club. The course operates as a public daily-fee facility with memberships available, and it opens each spring, in early April for the 2026 season, for leagues, outings and public play.
