About Ram Rock - Horseshoe Bay Resort

Ram Rock, the second course at Horseshoe Bay Resort, opened in 1981 as a Robert Trent Jones Sr. design with Roger Rulewich. Nicknamed "The Challenger," it is widely regarded as the hardest of the resort's four courses and one of the toughest tests in Texas, with rock outcroppings, water on ten holes and roughly 60 bunkers across a par-71, 6,884-yard routing. Notable holes include the 488-yard par-4 2nd and the island-green par-3 4th. It has hosted numerous Texas amateur championships and is open to resort guests and members.
