The Lido re-creates C.B. Macdonald's Lido course on Long Island, which opened in 1917 and was lost after the U.S. Navy took over the land in 1942. The original was reconstructed as a 3-D model from vintage photographs, drawings and press accounts, and Tom Doak and Renaissance Golf rebuilt it near Sand Valley Resort. It opened in May 2023 as a private club with limited public tee times.
