Tom Weiskopf designed Cedar River, which opened at Shanty Creek Resort in 1999 on 536 acres. Concerns about building near the Cedar River led to design changes: the 13th, planned as a par 3 over the river, became a short par 4, and the 14th became a downhill par 3. The course hosted the Michigan Open in 2025 and 2026.
