About Slick Rock - Horseshoe Bay Resort
Slick Rock is the original course at Horseshoe Bay Resort, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and opened in 1972 as the first of his three layouts there. The par-72, 6,867-yard course along Lake LBJ features more than 70 bunkers and water on 12 holes, and is considered the most forgiving of the resort's courses. Its signature 14th, the "Million Dollar Hole," plays over a river valley with a 35-foot man-made waterfall. The greens were rebuilt in 1997 and the course was renovated by Robert Trent Jones Jr. in 2016.
