The Boca Raton Golf Club

The Boca Raton golf story began in 1926, when Donald Ross laid out an 18-hole course for Addison Mizner's Cloister Inn. After the Mizner company's 1927 bankruptcy, Clarence Geist bought the property and commissioned Toomey & Flynn to build two new courses, incorporating some Ross holes, which opened in January 1930. Later work includes Joe Lee (1988) and a Gene Bates redesign (1997). It is a private resort course.
