The Haven was built in 1955 as Mt. Pleasant Country Club (the club originated in Leicester before relocating to Boylston). The William F. Mitchell layout was later renovated by Forse Design. After financial difficulties, Regan Remillard bought the club from members in 2012, renamed it The Haven and invested roughly $5 million in renovations; it was subsequently sold to ClubCorp/Invited and operates as a private club.
