About TPC Louisiana

TPC Louisiana opened in 2004 in Avondale, across the Mississippi River from New Orleans. Pete Dye designed it with input from tour players Steve Elkington and Kelly Gibson, building it on about 250 acres of drained cypress swamp over a base of pumped river sand. The flat layout has more than 100 bunkers and water in play on eight holes. It has been the home of the PGA Tour's Zurich Classic of New Orleans since 2005. Hurricane Ida closed the course for two months in 2021 and toppled a towering bald cypress in front of the 11th green.
