Turtle Bay Golf

The Palmer Course at Turtle Bay opened in 1992 on Oahu's rugged North Shore near Kahuku, designed by Arnold Palmer with his longtime partner Ed Seay. The layout offers two distinct nines: a windswept, Scottish links-style front stretch and a lush, tropical back that winds through verdant terrain. It bends in a horseshoe around the Punahoolapa marsh, a roughly 100-acre wetland and bird sanctuary, with water in play on a majority of the holes. The design earned early acclaim, including recognition among Golf Magazine's top new courses and a high finish in Golf Digest's best new resort courses, and it is widely regarded as one of Oahu's premier public-access tests. The land carries deeper history too, having been used by the U.S. Army during World War II, when parts of the property served as a landing strip.
