About Willow Brook Country Club
Willow Brook Country Club was founded April 28, 1921 (formally organized in 1922) as a hand-built nine-hole course; A.W. Tillinghast visited in 1937 and many of his suggestions were adopted. Texas architect Ralph Plummer designed the current 18-hole layout, which debuted August 29, 1953; Joe Finger redesigned the hilly, tree-lined course in 1980, and Tripp Davis completed a renovation in 2018. The private club hosted the Eisenhower Classic from 1987 to 1997, drawing players such as Payne Stewart, Ben Crenshaw and Greg Norman.
