About Wilson Golf Course
Wilson, named for President Woodrow Wilson, is one of two 18-hole municipal courses at Los Angeles' Griffith Park. It opened in 1927, designed by noted architect George C. Thomas Jr. with William P. Bell, replacing parts of the original 1914 Tom Bendelow links. One of the longer L.A. city layouts at over 7,000 yards, Wilson hosted the PGA Tour's Los Angeles Open from 1937 to 1939.
