Bermuda Run Country Club in Advance opened its East Course in 1971, designed by Carolinas architect Ellis Maples. It is the only club in the area with two private 18-hole courses — the East (Champion Bermuda greens) and the separate West Course (Dan Maples, 1986) — and is operated under the Invited (ClubCorp) group.
